Chercheur et Coordonnateur de la Thématique « Devenir des exploitations familiales agricoles et systèmes alimentaires résilients » à IPAR Think Tank (Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale).
Il est titulaire d’un doctorat en sociologie de l’environnement de l’Université Jean Jaurès de Toulouse et d’un master en gestion sociale de l’environnement et valorisation des ressources territoriales, mention géographie de l’environnement, du Centre universitaire de formation et de recherches Jean-François Champollion d’Albi.
Ses thématiques de recherches concernent essentiellement la transformation structurelle et écologique de l’agriculture familiale aussi bien en milieu urbain que rural, les questions de transition agroécologique, les systèmes alimentaires durables, la gestion durable des terres, l’alimentation scolaire, la gestion des déchets solides, l’assainissement liquide autonome en ville et la prospective territoriale à partir desquels il a produit plusieurs rapports de recherches et publications dans différents canaux.
Les plus emblématiques sont relatives aux pratiques de valorisation agricole des déchets organiques en agriculture urbaine à Dakar, à la politique de gestion des déchets solides au Sénégal, à la pratique du zaï dans la production du mil dans le Bassin arachidier, aux opportunités économiques de la filière mangue en Casamance, à la technologie du Système de Riziculture Intensif (SRI) dans la Vallée du Fleuve Sénégal, etc.
Il est, par ailleurs, membre du Consortium mondial de recherche sur l’alimentation scolaire, notamment dans la Communauté de pratiques « Bons exemples ». Il est aussi membre du Comité technique de la Dynamique pour une Transition AgroEcologique au Sénégal (DyTAES) et membre du Groupe Multi-Sectoriel sur l’Alimentation et la Nutrition à l’Ecole (GMSANE) au nom de l’IPAR Think Tank.

He holds a PhD in Environmental Sociology from the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès and a Master’s degree in Social Management of the Environment and Territorial Resource Development, specializing in Environmental Geography, from the Jean-François Champollion University Center for Training and Research in Albi.
His research focuses primarily on the structural and ecological transformation of family farming in both urban and rural areas, issues of agroecological transition, sustainable food systems, sustainable land management, school meals, solid waste management, on-site wastewater treatment in cities, and territorial foresight, which has led to the production of several research reports and publications in various media.
The most emblematic projects relate to agricultural practices for valorizing organic waste in urban agriculture in Dakar, solid waste management policy in Senegal, the zaï technique in millet production in the Groundnut Basin, the economic opportunities of the mango sector in Casamance, the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) technology in the Senegal River Valley, and others.
He is also a member of the Global Consortium for School Feeding Research, specifically within the « Good Examples » Community of Practice. He is also a member of the Technical Committee of the Dynamics for an Agroecological Transition in Senegal (DyTAES) and a member of the Multi-Sectoral Group on School Food and Nutrition (GMSANE) representing IPAR Think Tank.
